The barrel design, which is homage to the era when it was something quite special to own a camera, is equipped with an optical system of 5 elements in 6 groups that uses double-sided aspherical element. A wide-angle lens with sharp image quality up to the periphery. The focusing unit is equipped with a helicoid ring with an extra-long extension amount, achieving a minimum shooting distance of 0.15 m. Dynamic drawing is possible by taking advantage of the wide-angle lens perspective.

The focus ring and aperture ring are made entirely of metal, and the knurled pattern, which has been heavily machined and precision-cut, is not only nostalgic and beautiful, but also has functionality that enhances the feeling of manual operation.

By adopting an all-metal helicoid unit processed and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate torque, focusing with a smooth operation feeling is realized. It enables fine focus adjustment.

Beautiful in appearance as well, it is available in both “white rim” and “black rim” variations paying homage to lenses of the 60’s and 70’s.
Usable on a range of bodies
The lens mount is interchangeable with Nikon Ai-S with built-in CPU. In addition to a built-in CPU, the lens also has an Ai coupler, so that the lens can be used on a wide range of camera bodies from the old film cameras of yesteryear through to the latest digital single-lens reflex cameras.
