NOKTON 55mm F1.2 SL IIs
The F1.2 class large-aperture standard lenses that required a long back focus, unlike those for rangefinder cameras, have been upgraded for modern digital photography.
The optical formula consists of 7 elements in 6 groups, all of which are classic spherical lenses, in order to achieve a fast f1.2 aperture and high image resolution.
The expressive power of a wide-aperture lens
The lens provides a smooth bokeh effect in the out-of-focus image areas to help emphasize the photographic subject while the aperture is wide open, but also has extremely high sharpness throughout the entire image when stepping down. This permits the photographer to enjoy the different uses of varied apertures for diverse methods of photographic expression.
Design with nostalgia and functionality
The focus and aperture rings are fashioned from durable metal for long-lasting strength of construction. The large-cut finger grip and the precision-cut knurled barrel, are not only nostalgic and beautiful, but also have a functionality that aids in precise manual focusing.
Manual focus for reliable focus operation
By adopting an all-metal helicoid unit processed with modern high-quality lubricants (which produce an application-specific torque) you will notice smooth focus-feel and a high degrees of accuracy.
A wide variety of camera bodies
The mount is compatible with Nikon Ai-S with a built-in CPU and an Ai coupler. This makes it possible to use with a wide variety of film or digital camera bodies, regardless of the age and style.
Dedicated to Details
The lens is designed to be as portable as possible, so the lens was fashioned to be as close to the mount diameter as could be achieved through advanced mechanical design.
In addition to this slim profile, the side of the metal mount is machined to prevent interference between the aperture linkage pin and the lens. This is just a small example of our commitment to high design and fine craftsmanship.
Using the thinnest contact parts that could be designed, the 55mm f1.2 SL2s still remains deeply committed to the highest optical performance and easiest form factor for easy carry.
