High-performance wide-angle lens focused on light handling on rangefinder camera.
The latest optical design and aspherical element made the lens with as same optical performance as our ULTRON Vintage Line 28mm F2 Aspherical VM-mount lens, while keeping the maximum aperture at F2.8 for extremely compact styling.
Type II is in the classic modern style, with an aluminum exterior for light weight and practicality.
Main Features
Bayonet VM mount
The lens mount is a Leica M-mount compatible VM mount.
Compact & high performance
By adopting an aspherical lens, it demonstrates excellent optical performance even when the aperture is wide open. The total length of the product is 23.5 mm (from the mount surface), it does not protrude into the viewfinder frame when used on a rangefinder camera, and handling feels also good.
Two types of exterior to choose from
There are two types of exteriors: silver and black. Both are lightweight at 106g by using aluminum for the exterior.
Dedicated lens hood included
The lens comes with a special screw-in hood in silver or black finish that is consistent with the lens design, and a cover-type front cap.
Manual focus for reliable focus operation
By adopting an all-metal helicoid unit processed and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate torque, focusing with a smooth operation feeling is realized. It enables fine focus adjustment.
Equipped with a rangefinder interlocking system
The high-precision rangefinder interlocking mechanism enables severe focusing near the maximum aperture. The shortest shooting distance linked to the rangefinder is 0.7m.
Minimum focus distance of 0.5 meters
The lens focuses beyond the minimum rangefinder-coupled focus distance of 0.7m all the way down to 0.5m. Utilizing the live view function of a rangefinder-coupled digital camera, this enables you to get even closer to the subject.
Full frame image circle
The lens secures a generous image circle that supports full-frame format. In addition, it achieves a very compact style compared to interchangeable lenses for single-lens reflex cameras.
